TeenTech™ is a lively one day interactive programme founded by broadcaster Maggie Philbin, which aims to change perceptions of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) careers amongst teenagers and their teachers, and act as a catalyst to encourage business to engage with young people.
Basingstoke Consortium are looking for partner companies, universities and institutes that will play host to 300 students and their teachers, demonstrating the technology that will inspire a new generation of scientists and engineers. There will also be valuable opportunities to network with fellow businesses and see just what is happening within the STEM sector.
TeenTech™ is running ten events
across the country – many already have waiting lists as businesses see the
advantages of such a well organised and interactive day. This is the first one to be hosted in Hampshire.
So, for a chance to show teenagers exactly what it means to work for your company and to network with other STEM organisations, sign up now for the Basingstoke event. Businesses that have already confirmed include: Sony Europe, Blatchford, AWE, Vitacress, Shire Pharmaceutical, Smart Media, Air Products, BT, Symantec, HCC, M3 Local Enterprise Partnership and the BBC.
