Whether it's shopping that you enjoy, a spot of culture on a day out or something a little more energetic such as sports or oudoor activities, there's no shortage of leisure opportunities in and around Basingstoke.

Shopping

Rated as one of the country's best shopping centres, Festival Place is located in the centre of Basingstoke and offers a comprehensive retail and leisure experience, including 165 shops, restaurants, bars, a multi screen cinema, sports centre and night club. Smaller independent retailers and further bars and restaurants can be found in the Top of Town area of the town centre.

Culture

Culturally, the Anvil concert hall presents an outstanding programme of music and comedy, complemented by the theatre and dance performances at the Haymarket. The award winning Milestones, Hampshire's Living History Museum, houses a network of 19th and early 20th century streets and is one of the most popular attractions in the south. The Willis Museum, currently under going a major refurbishment, explores the history of Basingstoke from pre-Christian times to the present day.

Sports & Outdoor Activities

A variety of activities can be enjoyed at Basingstoke's Leisure Park including ice skating, bowling, an d the Aquadrome with flumes and a 25m competition swimming pool. There is a huge range of sports facilities including the Active Life Centre home to Basingstoke Gymnastics Club, Down Grange Sports Complex, Basingstoke Football Club and Basingstoke Rugby Club and that's as well as all the fantastic countryside to explore!
