Grove

Regions_Black Dam Pond

The area of grove is commonly known as Black Dam. The housing estate was first developed in 1971. The housing estate borders Black Dam Ponds which act as a flood control and provide a haven for wildlife, particularly water fowl.

This attractive area has picnic facilities and is popular for feeding the ducks and swans. The path at the eastern end connects under a subway to the nature reserve managed by Hampshire Wildlife Trust and on to Crabtree Open Space. The Viables Craft Centre with a range of individually crafted products is also nearby.
