Kempshott
Kempshott is a vibrant residential area of Basingstoke, offering a wide variety of local amenities, including churches, schools, restaurants and much more.
Kempshott once was a sub member of the Dummer parish but is now a district of Basingstoke.
The name Kempshott may derive from the Old English 'Cempan sceat' which means 'warrior's corner', some 14th century and later forms also suggest 'sciete' with the same meaning attached.
