Location, Location, (Re)Location
Since 1982, HCR has been helping corporations to successfully relocate their employees and is now the UK’s largest independent relocation company. In 2011 we took a step across the big pond to open our first overseas office in Florida, USA. Our worldwide service continues to raise the profile of the company and the local area – putting Basingstoke on the global map.
We have the pleasure of a workforce residing in and around the local area, with the vast majority of our employees living in the catchment area of Basingstoke and Deane borough council. We are proud of our exceptionally loyal and long-serving employees (60% have been with HCR for more than 11 years) and they are the company’s most important assets.
HCR staff living in Basingstoke benefit from a buzzing town centre, a thriving community and enjoy the rare combination of a wealth of facilities coupled with the rolling green hills of Hampshire just two miles from the centre. It’s Not Easy Being Green
In spring 2010, HCR launched its innovative Sustainable Relocation promise – planting a tree for every relocation. This year HCR teamed up with Basingstoke and Deane Borough council to ensure their local community benefited from our promise. We did this by aligning with the council’s woodland strategy and planting trees to create a wildlife corridor in Old Basing. Over 800 trees have been planted, all grown from seed gathered in Hampshire. This movement has received great feedback from both peers and clients. We are the first relocation company within the UK to be accredited with an ISO 14001 certificate in environmental management, and we have also achieved the esteemed Carbon Footprint Standard.
